Make a real impact by providing dedicated care and support to a student in an elementary school environment. This contract opportunity centers on offering one-on-one assistance to a 7-year-old girl with complex medical needs throughout her school day and bus rides.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active LPN/LVN license (Washington state eligible or credentialed)
  • Minimum of one year of experience supporting pediatric populations, ideally in a school or similar setting
  • Proficient with G-tube and tracheostomy care
  • Physical ability to assist with safe transfers and lifting, as the student uses an adaptive stroller and requires diapering support via a height-adjustable changing table (two-person transfer routine commonly used)
  • Experience providing care for non-verbal children; familiarity with AAC devices is helpful
  • Strong communication skills and reliability, especially for consistent school and transportation schedules

Role Responsibilities:

  • Morning and afternoon bus riding (pick up at 9:00 a.m., drop off at 4:21 p.m.) to ensure safety and medical needs are met while in transit
  • One-on-one care during the school day, including G-tube feeding, trach management, and complete toileting support
  • Assisting with transfers and adaptive equipment use as needed
  • Collaborating closely with school staff, caregivers, and other professionals to maintain the student’s comfort and well-being
  • Supporting the student emotionally and physically, promoting an inclusive and supportive educational experience
