Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, working full-time hours of 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday through Friday), totaling 35 hours per week. In this position, you will work closely with a student who faces complex medical challenges—including a tracheostomy and the absence of abdominal muscle lining—and requires specialized, comprehensive nursing care during school hours and bus transportation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State LPN license/certification
  • Previous experience in school, pediatric, or one-on-one nursing strongly preferred
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting through OSPI is required prior to start
  • Strong clinical skills, especially in managing tracheostomy care and medically fragile children
  • Compassion, excellent judgment, and professionalism in high-stakes situations
  • Ability to communicate clearly with educators, families, and care teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care, including monitoring and managing tracheostomy needs
  • Provide specialized supervision and assistance on school transportation, including use of a safety car seat
  • Track and document the student’s health status, interventions, and changes
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and health professionals to ensure safe, coordinated care
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student medical information
