What you’ll need to succeed:
- Active and valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license (required)
- Experience with school nursing or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to manage care for a wheelchair-bound student including tracheostomy, G-tube feeding, suctioning, toileting, and related interventions
- Willingness to ride the van with your student to and from school each day
- Commitment to working 4 days a week, totaling 25 hours per week
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a genuine passion for student-focused care
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering direct 1:1 nursing care for your assigned student throughout the school day and while riding the van
- Managing trach care, G-tube feedings, toileting assistance, and suctioning with skill and confidence
- Administering medication and monitoring medical status as needed
- Collaborating with educational staff and families to ensure seamless support
- Maintaining accurate health records and reports
