Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting the well-being of a kindergarten student as a contract LPN/LVN in a school setting near Quincy, MA. This opportunity offers a full-time schedule from 7:45am to 2:15pm, beginning on September 2, 2026, with an initial three-month trial period.

You’ll provide one-on-one care for a young, non-verbal student diagnosed with CDKL5 deficiency disorder, global developmental delay, and epilepsy. This child experiences frequent myoclonic and tonic seizure activity and requires close monitoring and prompt intervention, including administration of a seizure nasal spray as needed. This position does not currently include bus duties.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active LPN/LVN license in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience in a pediatric or school nursing environment preferred
  • Confidence in providing compassionate, individualized care to children with significant medical needs
  • Skilled in seizure disorder management, including prompt recognition and medication administration
  • Familiarity with developmental and neurological conditions, particularly CDKL5 deficiency disorder, is highly valued
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
  • Ability to remain vigilant, calm, and responsive during medical events

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dedicated 1:1 nursing care during the school day
  • Monitor and manage frequent seizures, administer prescribed nasal spray medication
  • Record detailed health data and maintain clear documentation
  • Communicate student health updates with school professionals and caregivers
  • Support the student’s comfort, safety, and participation in the daily classroom environment
