School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Quincy, MA

Skilled nursing professionals (RN or LPN) are sought for a contract assignment to provide dedicated 1:1 care to an elementary-aged child. This position centers on delivering attentive support for g-tube feeding and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), enabling the student to thrive in the classroom.

You will work school-day hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, with no responsibilities for bus transportation—the workday begins and ends within the school building.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN or LPN license in Massachusetts
• Prior experience with g-tube feedings strongly preferred
• Confidence in supporting children with ADLs in an educational setting
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with students and school staff
• Dependable, punctual, and calm in fast-paced or changing situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care for a student requiring g-tube feedings and personal care
• Adhere to the student’s individualized care plan, maintaining documentation as required
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure continuity of care
• Monitor student health status and respond promptly to any medical needs during the school day
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment to support the student's participation and well-being
