1:1 Certified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Reading, PA

Make a real impact supporting student health in an educational setting just outside Reading, PA. This contract position is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is certified and experienced in providing 1:1 care for students with complex medical needs. You’ll work closely alongside another nurse ensuring seamless coverage and support in the classroom—no bus duties required.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• Demonstrated experience with suctioning and tube feeding.
• Background in providing direct, 1:1 pediatric care, ideally in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with existing school healthcare staff.
• Reliable, compassionate, and adaptable to classroom and schoolwide responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 medical support for a student during the school day, attending to suctioning and tube feeding needs as required.
• Step in as secondary support within the classroom, working alongside another school nurse to maintain continuity of care.
• In the event that the student is absent, offer coverage throughout the school building as needed, ensuring the well-being of other students.
• Remain diligent with documentation and adhere to school and healthcare protocols.
• Communicate professionally with staff and, when needed, with families regarding student health.
