Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Redwood City, CA

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Licensed Vocational Nurse supporting student health and well-being for the 26/27 school year. This full-time contract position offers 37.5 hours per week, with hours anticipated from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Beginning as soon as possible and running through June 3, 2027, you’ll make a genuine difference by working closely—one-on-one—with a student, ensuring they have the individual care and support needed throughout each school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN/LVN license for California
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Familiarity with individualized health and seizure action plans
• Ability to act quickly in response to medical emergencies
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Compassion, patience, and attentiveness to students' unique needs
• Experience riding and/or supporting students on transportation is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily, individualized nursing care for a student according to their health plan
• Monitor and respond to seizure activity, following the student’s approved action plan
• Communicate with school staff and family regarding the student’s care and status
• Accompany the student on school transportation, providing support as needed
• Maintain conscientious documentation of nursing interventions and student status
• Uphold health, safety, and privacy standards at all times
