We’re seeking a dedicated LPN to work with a lively 5-year-old who is trach and vent dependent but has plenty of energy to spare. This unique contract role offers an exceptional blend of school nursing expertise and the rewarding experience of fostering a safe, inclusive environment for a mobile and active student.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active LPN or LVN license, eligible for practice in Washington state
- Prior pediatric, ventilator, or tracheostomy care experience—ideally in a school or similar setting
- Comfort with both preschool and kindergarten-aged children
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgement in dynamic school settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Role Highlights:
- Begin July 7th and support summer programming at a preschool, with morning shifts (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., possibly 7:30 a.m. start with transportation)
- Enjoy a break in August, then transition to consistent, full-time hours throughout the next school year (September–June) in West Seattle, with a focus on kindergarten-age care
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, other healthcare professionals, and the student’s family
- Ensure health, safety, and emergency preparedness for a student with trach and vent needs, enabling her to thrive alongside her peers
