Location: Rochester, MI
Setting: K-12 School – Preschool & Childcare Site
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Half-day coverage)
Dates:

  • February: 3, 9, 12, 17, 19
  • March: 5, 11
  • April: 7, 9, 10
  • May: 7

This position offers an opportunity to provide essential nursing support within a preschool and childcare environment, working closely one-on-one with a student requiring specialized care. The role involves direct nursing assistance, including G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy care. Candidates should be comfortable delivering attentive care in a K-12 school setting with a focus on maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one nursing support to a child with medical needs
  • Perform specialized nursing procedures such as G-tube suctioning and trach care
  • Monitor health status and respond to medical needs promptly
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe learning environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district protocols

Qualifications:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification
  • Experience working in school health settings preferred
  • Proficiency in tracheostomy and G-tube care essential
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Must complete district-required onboarding including fingerprinting and district badge issuance

  • Sub acceptance deadline is by 8:00 AM or the start of the school day
  • Compliance on fingerprinting and onboarding is required onsite
