Desired Qualifications:

• Active and current K-12 School Nurse license (LPN or RN).
• Skilled at working autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to remain “not disqualified” after background and disciplinary checks as required by Minnesota guidelines.
• Empathy, clear communication skills, and adaptability to diverse student needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver temporary and emergency care or first aid for any ill or injured students throughout the school day at our single K-8 location.
• Oversee student health and development through ongoing monitoring and annual screenings for vision and hearing.
• Dispense, track, and document all medications for students with both acute and chronic health concerns; liaise with parents and physicians to recommend medication changes as needed.
• Maintain preparedness by assembling first aid kits and ensuring supplies are up to date for both school buildings.
• Foster trusting, professional relationships with students, staff, and parent communities.
