School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Salem, NH

These contract positions serve local schools and involve providing personalized healthcare to students throughout their day—including accompaniment on bus rides for certain assignments. Openings are available for nurses with experience or a strong interest in a range of clinical supports. You’ll collaborate closely with educational staff and families, making a genuine impact with your skills and compassion.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active LPN license required
• School-based nursing or pediatric experience preferred, but not mandatory
• Confidence or willingness to work with any of the following (please specify your comfort level for each): tracheostomy care, G-tube feeding, ventilation support, seizure response, diabetic care, toileting assistance, bus riding, and academic support as needed
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, 1:1 care in school and occasionally on the bus as assigned
• Monitor and respond to student health needs, emergencies, and daily care tasks
• Administer medications and medical treatments per care plans
• Collaborate with educators and parents to promote student well-being
• Document daily interventions and maintain confidentiality
• Provide gentle support and encouragement for students’ academic participation
