Requirements to thrive in this position:
- Active LPN or LVN license in California
- Experience working with children or adolescents is preferred
- Knowledge of common pediatric medical conditions and general medication administration
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable working in a dynamic school setting and maintaining detailed documentation
- Strong organization and time management abilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments
- Providing first aid and emergency care as needed
- Supporting individual healthcare plans for students with chronic or acute health conditions
- Monitoring immunizations and maintaining accurate health records
- Acting as a resource to school staff on student health concerns
- Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and parents to develop holistic care plans
- Participating in health screenings and safety education initiatives
