A part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is needed to provide 1:1 nursing support at an early childhood school in San Francisco, CA. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 4th, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:10 PM.

The primary responsibility is to closely monitor a preschool student with seizures and administer medications as prescribed. The LPN will receive training and ongoing support from the district nurse to ensure compliance with the student's healthcare plan. This role involves working closely with a dedicated 1:1 paraeducator assigned to the same student, fostering a collaborative approach to care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor for seizure activity and document observations accurately
  • Administer medications following prescribed protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with the district nurse and 1:1 paraeducator
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school health policies
  • Communicate concerns or changes in student condition promptly

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid LPN/LVN license
  • Experience in pediatric nursing or school-based nursing preferred
  • Knowledge of seizure disorders and medication administration
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Location: Single school site in San Francisco, CA
