School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | San Jose, California

A nursing professional is needed to provide quality healthcare services within an educational setting in San Jose, CA. This contract position offers the opportunity to support the health and well-being of students by delivering skilled nursing care in a school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and health monitoring
• Collaborate with school staff and families to manage student health plans and promote a safe, healthy learning environment
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations
• Educate students on health and wellness practices appropriate for the school setting
• Assist with managing chronic conditions and medications under physician orders

Qualifications:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in California
• Experience working in pediatric or school nursing preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive health information
• Knowledge of school health regulations and policies is a plus
