This full-time contract position is available to start as soon as possible, with services extending into the next school year. Your expertise as an LPN/LVN will ensure the student receives the highest quality care throughout the school day and during their bus rides.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted LPN or LVN license
- Experience working in a pediatric and/or school-based nursing setting preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, staff, and healthcare providers
- Ability to manage confidential health information with discretion and professionalism
- Flexibility, adaptability, and strong problem-solving ability
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one nursing care to an 8-year-old student in accordance with the individualized healthcare plan and physician’s orders
- Provide necessary medical support and monitor health conditions as documented in the student's report
- Accompany and support the student during their bus ride to and from school, ensuring safety and prompt response to medical needs
- Administer medications, manage treatments, and implement emergency protocols as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with healthcare teams and administrators
- Foster a caring, inclusive environment that supports the student’s educational experience
