A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with experience in pediatric care is needed to provide essential health services at an elementary school setting in Santa Rosa, CA. This contract position covers the current school year (CSY) and focuses on delivering 1:1 pediatric nursing support to students, ensuring their medical needs are met during school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care and health assessments for students with individual health plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed for pediatric patients
  • Monitor and document student health status and communicate with parents and school staff
  • Implement health care plans tailored to the needs of children requiring 1:1 nursing support
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide necessary intervention
  • Collaborate with educators and healthcare providers to promote a safe and healthy learning environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid LPN or LVN license in the state of California
  • Experience working with pediatric patients, especially in educational settings
  • Knowledge of school health policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently in providing 1:1 nursing care
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
