School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Spanaway, WA

A rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated and compassionate LPN to support a fragile student during the 2026-2027 school year. This vital role is based in a contracted, full-time capacity, requiring 40 hours per week onsite throughout the academic year, from September 9, 2026, to June 16, 2027. As an essential member of the student’s care team, you’ll work closely 1:1 with a student who requires specialized support, including feeding tube management, and assist during daily transportation by riding the bus to and from school.

Key Qualifications:

• Current WA LPN License—or willingness to obtain prior to start date
• Must complete fingerprinting through OSPI or be open to fulfilling this requirement
• Previous experience with feeding tubes and care for medically fragile individuals strongly preferred
• Ability to provide dedicated, compassionate care in a school environment
• Comfortable partnering with students, families, and school staff
• Strong commitment to student safety and confidentiality

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care and monitoring for a medically fragile student during the school day and bus rides
• Safely administer, monitor, and document tube feedings and other medical treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate closely with educators, school administrators, and parents to support the student’s daily needs
• Maintain accurate health records and communication logs
• Uphold school health and safety standards at all times
