Step into a vital role supporting medically involved elementary school students as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) in a dynamic school setting near Suwanee, GA. This contract opportunity allows you to make a direct, positive impact by ensuring two students receive exceptional care and can fully participate in their educational experience. In this highly collaborative environment, you’ll partner with dedicated classroom staff, paraprofessionals, and an on-site nurse—giving you the support and camaraderie needed to provide high-quality nursing care throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver attentive one-on-one nursing care to two assigned students during the school day.
  • Travel with the students, riding the school bus to and from campus daily.
  • Assess health needs, monitor for changes, and provide care according to physician-directed plans.
  • Act promptly in medical emergencies or concerns to protect student well-being.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of services delivered and student progress.
  • Communicate with families, educators, and other school personnel to ensure continuity of care.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and support students’ full access to learning activities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid LPN license in the state of Georgia is required.
  • Experience in pediatric, school-based, or special education nursing is preferred.
  • Prior support for medically fragile students is highly valued.
  • Skilled in teamwork, communication, and thorough documentation.
  • Experience with IEPs or specialized student health services is a plus.
  • Willingness to provide three professional references, with one from a recent supervisor.
