In this role, your expertise will provide essential support to a medically fragile student throughout their school day, including during transportation to and from school via bus. Familiarity and comfort with feeding tubes is required, providing peace of mind for both the student and their family. This position offers the chance to build a strong, supportive connection and enhance the student’s quality of life within the school setting.
Qualifications:
- Current Washington LPN license or a willingness to obtain it
- Experience with medically fragile children, ideally in a school environment
- Confidence and proficiency in caring for students with feeding tubes
- Must complete fingerprinting with OSPI or be willing to obtain clearance
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
- Reliable and able to commit to the entire school year (9/9/26–6/16/27)
- Must be available to work onsite only; remote work is not available
Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent, attentive nursing care for a single student throughout the school day, including bus rides to and from school
- Monitor the student’s health and respond to any medical needs promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with school personnel and family
- Ensure safe medication and feeding tube management
