Key Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in California
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is valued
- CPR certification and a solid foundation in first aid principles
- Strong communication abilities to interact with students, parents, and staff
- Capacity to work independently and adapt to changing priorities throughout the school day
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, health assessments, and management of chronic illnesses or acute needs that arise during the school day
- Collaborate with school staff and parents regarding student health plans and support accommodations for individuals with medical needs
- Monitor and document health events and interventions according to regulatory and district standards
- Participate in health screenings and contribute to health education programs for students and staff
- Respond efficiently to health emergencies and maintain a calm, compassionate approach throughout all interactions
