This full-time nursing opportunity in a high school setting offers a rewarding role for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurses (RN) interested in supporting student health and wellness. Located in Union City, NJ, the position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm during the school year, providing a consistent and structured schedule ideal for professionals dedicated to school nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including administering medication, first aid, and health assessments
- Manage bus riding health supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student health plans and emergency protocols
- Document health information and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment in alignment with district policies
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an LPN/LVN or RN with relevant school nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of pediatric and adolescent health care principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
- Experience managing health concerns related to transportation is a plus
