A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is urgently needed to provide specialized care for a student during an overnight field trip in Victorville, CA. This contract position begins immediately, supporting a student attending an excursion to an adventure camp from April 6 through April 8.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the student with catheterization every three hours, with flexibility to adjust timing based on the student’s needs.
- Managing Peristeen bowel irrigation once daily, ensuring privacy and adequate time for completion.
- Monitoring the student’s health and responding promptly to any concerns during the trip.
- Collaborating discreetly with family members familiar with medical protocols to ensure seamless care.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided throughout the duration of the trip.
Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Current and valid LVN or LPN license with school healthcare setting experience.
- Strong familiarity with catheter care and bowel management techniques.
- Ability to manage care responsibilities during extended hours in an outdoor, overnight setting.
- Effective communication skills for working with both the student and accompanying family.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the student’s evolving medical needs in a field environment.

- Victorville, California, with on-site presence required at the adventure camp during the trip dates.
