School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Wallingford, Connecticut

Bring your nursing expertise to a rewarding school-based role supporting a first grade student in a 1:1 setting for the remainder of the academic year. This contract position offers a collaborative atmosphere where you’ll play an influential part in a young student’s educational journey. Your primary focus will be monitoring feeding and hydration through a tube, as well as working closely with the student on educational tasks and classroom participation.

This full-time assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through June 9, 2027, with potential for renewal for the right fit. The position is open to LPNs, RNs, and CNAs, and is ideal for nurse professionals passionate about school settings and pediatric care. LPNs can expect hourly rates between $40–$42, RNs at $45–$47, and CNAs at $28–$30.

What we’re seeking:

• Active and valid LPN or RN license (CNA certification also considered)
• Experience in a school, pediatric, or special needs environment preferred
• Strong skills in enteral (tube) feeding and hydration monitoring
• Compassionate communication style and ability to build rapport with young children
• Collaborative mindset to partner with educators and school staff
• Commitment to full-time, onsite schedule throughout the contract term

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 care and supervision for a first grade student during the school day
• Monitoring and assisting with all feeding and hydration needs via tube
• Supporting the student in classroom learning activities and fostering engagement
• Documenting care and communication as needed with school staff and family
