Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care including G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy (trach) management
- Monitor student health status and provide intervention as necessary
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure student safety and well-being during assigned hours
- Adhere to all compliance requirements, including fingerprinting and district badge protocols
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current credentials
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing care, particularly with trach and G-tube care
- Ability to work independently and manage specialized medical needs in a preschool setting
- Completion of all necessary onboarding and compliance steps, including fingerprinting and district badge acquisition
Schedule and Location:
- Position located in Waterford, Michigan at a preschool and childcare school site
- Part-time schedule: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM on specific days in February, March, April, and May
- This is a leave coverage contract role requiring availability on specified dates: February 3, 9, 12, 17, 19; March 5, 11; April 7, 9, 10; May 7
Onboarding and Requirements:
- District-issued badge is mandatory before assignment start
- Fingerprinting required onsite per district policy
- Substitutes must accept assignments by 8:00 AM or the school day start time
