This contract opportunity offers valuable experience working across two school locations within a short distance of each other. As a vital member of the health services team, you’ll assist in daily clinic operations while providing essential care to a specialized caseload. Your nursing skills will make a direct impact on the well-being and success of students in the school community.

What you bring:

  • Active and current LPN or LVN licensure
  • Previous experience in a school health setting or working with pediatric populations is preferred
  • Flexibility and adaptability to travel between two sites as needed
  • Confidence in assisting with health office responsibilities and specialized medical care
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, able to work effectively with school staff, students, and families
  • Compassion and attentiveness to the needs of students with medical conditions such as spina bifida and diabetes

Role overview:

  • Provide daily support to the school nurse in the health offices at both assigned locations (within 10 minutes apart)
  • Deliver medical support and monitoring to students with chronic health conditions
  • Serve as substitute PCA/1:1 support staff for three students (two with spina bifida, one with diabetes) as coverage is required
  • Help address urgent medical situations and provide first aid as needed
  • Accurately document care provided and maintain confidentiality in all interactions
