School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | West New York, New Jersey

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license in New Jersey (required)
• Previous pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
• Able to provide compassionate, individualized care
• CPR and First Aid certification (must be current)
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with families, students, and school staff
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and HIPAA guidelines

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 medical care to a 7-year-old student during the school day
• Ride the bus to and from school with the student, ensuring their health and safety in transit
• Monitor, assess, and document the student’s health status and interventions
• Work closely with school personnel and the student’s family to create a supportive environment
• Respond promptly to any health concerns and provide necessary interventions
• Adhere to school protocols regarding medication administration and emergency care
• Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
