Key Qualifications:
- Active RN or LPN license in New Jersey (required)
- Previous pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
- Able to provide compassionate, individualized care
- CPR and First Aid certification (must be current)
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with families, students, and school staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and HIPAA guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 medical care to a 7-year-old student during the school day
- Ride the bus to and from school with the student, ensuring their health and safety in transit
- Monitor, assess, and document the student’s health status and interventions
- Work closely with school personnel and the student’s family to create a supportive environment
- Respond promptly to any health concerns and provide necessary interventions
- Adhere to school protocols regarding medication administration and emergency care
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
