Essential Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN license
• Experience working with children, especially in elementary school settings, is preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of pediatric care and ability to respond calmly to health-related emergencies
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to individual student needs
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to work independently while maintaining compliance with school health policies

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 care to a designated elementary school student, ensuring their medical and personal needs are met throughout the day
• Monitor and document vital signs, administer prescribed medications, and support classroom participation as required
• Develop positive relationships with the student, fostering trust and a secure environment for learning
• Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, and support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student care
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
• Respond appropriately and efficiently to emergencies, following established protocols
• Communicate effectively with guardians and healthcare providers as needed
