Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications via G-tube in accordance with prescribed medical protocols.
• Carry out frequent suctioning to support student respiratory needs, following all guidelines.
• Assist with oral feeding and hydration, supporting safe swallowing and monitoring intake.
• Provide toileting assistance while maintaining dignity, hygiene, and comfort.
• Help with safe lifting, positioning, and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Monitor and document health status; promptly communicate concerns to appropriate school health staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure the student's comprehensive needs are met.
• Keep the care environment clean, safe, and supportive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification is required.
• Prior experience with children—especially those with complex needs—is highly valued.
• Training in G-tube care, suctioning, and assisted feeding is preferred.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifts and transfers.
• Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability.
• Ability to remain calm and attentive in urgent situations.

This contract role runs on regular school days, from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM, starting August 5, 2026, and reports directly to the School Principal and Director for Special Education.
