Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field
  • Active and unrestricted Marriage and Family Therapist license in California
  • Strong background in counseling children, adolescents, and families
  • Previous experience working in educational or school environments preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to serving students across multiple school locations
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care practices

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions to strengthen family involvement in students’ academic and personal success
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, school psychologists, counselors, and administrators to coordinate support plans
  • Assist in the assessment and identification of students in need of mental health services
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to school settings
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Participate in professional development activities and school meetings as requested
