Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) license, or credentialed as a School Social Worker (LCSW or related certification)
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school or community settings
  • Skilled in assessment, crisis intervention, individualized and group counseling
  • Knowledgeable in school-based mental health services and resources
  • Excellent communication and consultation abilities with staff and parents
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in group settings
  • Develop intervention plans addressing social, behavioral, and academic challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a supportive school environment
  • Conduct crisis assessments and offer timely support during urgent situations
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Participate in team meetings, including IEPs and multidisciplinary consultations, to support student success
