Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Previous experience working in school settings, supporting children and adolescents
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and age-appropriate counseling techniques
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with educators, parents, and allied professionals
  • Ability to develop treatment plans and deliver interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to care

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing emotional, social, and behavioral challenges
  • Develop intervention strategies to support academic, social, and emotional success
  • Collaborate with educational teams to identify and assess student needs
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation according to district and ethical guidelines
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as necessary
  • Offer crisis support and resource referrals to students and their families
  • Advocate for students’ well-being within the school community
