Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid California licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or credentialed School Social Worker (MSW, LCSW, or PPS credential)
- Previous experience working with children, adolescents, and families in educational or clinical environments
- Strong understanding of social-emotional development, crisis intervention, and family systems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, caregivers, and community partners
- Comfortable navigating diverse school populations and backgrounds
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling to students facing academic, social, behavioral, and personal challenges
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to students’ unique needs, collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, SSTs, and other multidisciplinary discussions to support student success
- Offer crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
- Deliver workshops and preventative programs on topics such as social skills, coping strategies, and family support
- Maintain detailed, confidential records and documentation in line with district and legal guidelines
