Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) license, or credentialed as a School Social Worker (LCSW or related certification)
- Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school or community settings
- Skilled in assessment, crisis intervention, individualized and group counseling
- Knowledgeable in school-based mental health services and resources
- Excellent communication and consultation abilities with staff and parents
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in group settings
- Develop intervention plans addressing social, behavioral, and academic challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a supportive school environment
- Conduct crisis assessments and offer timely support during urgent situations
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Participate in team meetings, including IEPs and multidisciplinary consultations, to support student success
