Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Associate MFT, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California
  • Previous experience working within schools, educational settings, or with youth populations
  • Strong background in individual, group, and family counseling or therapy
  • Understanding of case management, crisis intervention, and mandated reporting procedures
  • Ability to build rapport quickly, foster trust, and collaborate with educators, parents, and community partners
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success and well-being
  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including IEPs or 504 Plan meetings as necessary
  • Offer crisis intervention and connect families to community resources as needed
  • Maintain precise and confidential clinical records according to school and legal guidelines
