Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field
  • Valid license (LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent) to practice in California
  • Prior experience working within school settings or with children and adolescents
  • Strong knowledge of counseling theories and family systems
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators
  • Culturally sensitive and compassionate approach when addressing diverse student populations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans
  • Facilitate communication between home and school to support student well-being
  • Offer crisis intervention and act as a resource for staff and families
  • Participate in student support teams and contribute insights to multidisciplinary meetings
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation
  • Deliver workshops on mental health, interpersonal skills, and related topics for students and staff
