Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and clear California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families, ideally in an educational or school-based setting
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention, counseling, and developing intervention plans
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple sites
  • Flexibility, compassion, and a client-centered therapeutic approach

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs
  • Collaborate with school personnel to create a safe, supportive learning environment
  • Facilitate workshops or support groups related to social-emotional learning, stress management, and conflict resolution
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and community resources as needed
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to support student well-being
