Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) | Whittier, California

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist or School Social Worker
• Experience supporting children, adolescents, or families in a school or similar environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized support plans and interventions
• Familiarity with crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support strategies

Responsibilities:

• Offer individual and group counseling to students, fostering social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address students’ academic and emotional needs
• Conduct assessments to identify barriers to learning and recommend interventions
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
• Contribute to multidisciplinary teams, attend IEP or 504 meetings, and participate in school-wide initiatives promoting student wellness
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Deliver workshops or training sessions for staff and families on relevant topics
