Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Current and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Previous experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a school or educational setting
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and fostering a supportive atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling for students navigating social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to promote academic and personal success
  • Partner with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ overall well-being
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and comply with all required reporting standards
  • Advocate for students’ needs and guide families in accessing relevant community resources
  • Stay current with best practices, trends, and regulations pertaining to school-based mental health services
