Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Texas Standard Educator Certificate with a Music EC-12 specialization
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Certified Music Therapist or relevant experience working with children/adolescents in school settings strongly preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working across a diverse K-12 caseload
- Ability to adapt musical programming for students with varied needs, backgrounds, and learning styles
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group music therapy sessions to support IEP goals, social-emotional learning, and communication development
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate music therapy into students’ comprehensive care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings as necessary
- Travel between schools within the Houston and Baytown area as part of your weekly schedule
