Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Texas Standard Educator Certificate with specialization in Music EC-12
• Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy or related field
• Experience working with K-12 students (preferred but not required)
• Strong knowledge of music therapy techniques and their application in educational settings
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct music therapy services to students in grades K-12 to support their therapeutic and educational goals
• Develop and implement individualized and group music therapy programs tailored to diverse needs
• Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and other educational staff to integrate music therapy into student learning plans
• Maintain documentation of student progress and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
• Stay current with best practices and continuing education in music therapy
