Licensed Music Therapist - Cypress, Texas

As a talented Music Therapist, you will make a meaningful impact by working with elementary and middle school-age students who benefit greatly from your expertise. In this role, you'll provide therapeutic services to a small group of students—seeing 3–4 children per day, with each receiving attention every other week. You will create a supportive and creative environment, tailoring sessions to meet individual student needs and helping foster both emotional and cognitive development through music.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Active national certification in music therapy
• Experience working as a Music Therapist in a school or pediatric setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to design and adapt music-based activities for diverse student needs
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to district protocols

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting music therapy sessions for assigned students, creating customized interventions
• Monitoring progress, maintaining documentation, and updating goals as needed
• Participating in meetings as required, offering insights into student progress
• Supporting a cohesive therapeutic team by collaborating with educators and related service providers
• Fulfilling all district credentialing and background requirements, including fingerprinting and drug screening
