Licensed Music Therapist | Cypress, Texas

As a contract-based music therapist, you’ll have the opportunity to help children engage, express themselves, and find success through the power of music—working every other week with a small, focused caseload. You’ll collaborate with educators and families while seeing the direct impact of your skills on children’s growth and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active National Certification as a Music Therapist
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Ability to effectively design and implement music therapy sessions for diverse learning and developmental needs
• Completion of required fingerprinting and drug screening as per district policy
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver music therapy sessions to students, approximately 3-4 per day, alternating weeks as part of a rotating caseload (7 students total)
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to customize therapy approaches for each student’s unique needs
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and progress notes for each session
• Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings when needed
• Empower children to achieve therapeutic goals related to communication, socialization, and emotional regulation through music-based interventions
