Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Degree in Music Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification appropriate for PK-12 levels
• Experience or strong interest in vocal music education, including classroom and choral settings
• Ability to design and implement inclusive, engaging lessons for students of all abilities
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to adapt instruction
• Preferred experience with music therapy techniques, or eagerness to integrate therapeutic approaches in music education

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach vocal music classes to diverse groups, from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade
• Encourage student participation and appreciation for music as part of a vibrant school culture
• Plan and prepare lessons and appropriate materials for both general music classes and vocal ensembles
• Organize and conduct performances, concerts, or assemblies as part of the school’s arts programming
• Collaborate with faculty to meet the varied learning needs of students
• Assess student progress and provide engaging feedback for continued growth
• Maintain an encouraging, respectful, and supportive classroom environment
