Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing therapeutic music interventions as a full-time Music Therapist for a 12-week leave of absence coverage. This rewarding opportunity will allow you to utilize your expertise in music therapy, fostering personal growth, self-expression, and social development among students in an educational setting.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program
  • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or eligibility for certification
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment preferred
  • Ability to assess individual student needs and develop appropriate, goal-oriented music therapy interventions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and multidisciplinary team processes

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and group music therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with school staff, classroom teachers, and other therapy providers to support student goals
  • Adapt music-based activities and interventions to meet the diverse developmental and cultural needs of students
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Provide consultative support to staff and families regarding the benefits and implementation of music therapy
  • Participate in team meetings and support a positive learning environment for all students
