Music Therapist in Houston, TX

This opportunity is designed for a dedicated professional eager to support a small, focused caseload in an educational setting close to Houston, TX. You'll work one day per week during the school year, fostering growth and well-being in young learners through the power of music.

What you’ll bring:

• Current, active national certification in Music Therapy
• Experience delivering music therapy services in schools or with youth preferred
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and students
• Ability to pass a background check including fingerprints and drug screening
• Enthusiasm for using music as a therapeutic tool to reach school-aged children

What you’ll do:

• Provide individualized and group music therapy sessions to a caseload of seven students, ages and needs as assigned
• Engage students every other week, typically seeing 3–4 children per service day
• Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement goals in each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Document session outcomes and monitor progress
• Adjust therapy plans as necessary to support the evolving needs of each child
