This contract opportunity allows you to work with a small, focused caseload and provide therapeutic interventions that enrich students’ lives. You’ll be working with children who receive music therapy services every other week – typically 3-4 students per day, totaling seven students on your roster. Just one day per week will let you contribute your skills while maintaining a flexible professional rhythm.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active National Certification in Music Therapy (required)
  • Experience working with children in school or educational settings preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school policies
  • Must complete district fingerprinting (background check) and drug screening promptly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct music therapy services, developing individualized treatment plans for each student
  • Evaluate progress and adjust interventions to meet IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of sessions and student outcomes
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure services are integrated within the educational framework
  • Act as a resource for school personnel, sharing insights into the therapeutic value of music
