Bring your passion for music therapy to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational environment near Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a certified Music Therapist eager to make a meaningful difference by engaging with school-aged children through music-based interventions.

You will work one day per week from July 29, 2026, to May 27, 2027, providing services for a small group of students, giving you the chance to focus on individualized support and relationship building. Each day, you’ll meet with 3–4 students—part of a 7-child caseload—allowing for impactful sessions tailored to their developmental and educational needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active national certification in Music Therapy required
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen (district-provided onboarding)
  • Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric environment preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and caregivers
  • Approachable, creative, and flexible attitude to meet diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct music therapy sessions with assigned students every other week
  • Develop individualized goals and treatment plans, focusing on social, emotional, and cognitive growth
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to track and report progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with district requirements
  • Participate in required meetings and professional development as determined
