What you’ll bring:
- Texas Standard Educator Certificate with a Music EC-12 specialization
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Commitment to supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth through music therapy
- Ability to collaborate well with classroom teachers and school teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What you’ll do:
- Design and implement individual and group music therapy sessions for students in grades K-12 with a range of educational needs
- Assess student abilities and develop tailored treatment plans to foster growth, develop skills, and enhance learning outcomes
- Maintain documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and support staff
- Provide guidance and resources for staff and families, supporting an inclusive learning environment
- Travel to different schools within the Houston area as needed for student sessions
