What you’ll bring:

• Texas Standard Educator Certificate with a Music EC-12 specialization
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Commitment to supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth through music therapy
• Ability to collaborate well with classroom teachers and school teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement individual and group music therapy sessions for students in grades K-12 with a range of educational needs
• Assess student abilities and develop tailored treatment plans to foster growth, develop skills, and enhance learning outcomes
• Maintain documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and support staff
• Provide guidance and resources for staff and families, supporting an inclusive learning environment
• Travel to different schools within the Houston area as needed for student sessions
