Licensed Music Therapist - Missouri City, Texas

This contract position offers full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time (20 hours/week, with potential to increase) opportunities within a collaborative school environment near Missouri City, TX. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• National certification in Music Therapy required
• Experience or proficiency working with students with disabilities, including autism and other developmental needs
• In-depth knowledge of music therapy assessment protocols, strategies, and intervention tools
• Skilled at creating, documenting, and delivering services aligned with student IEPs
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to design adaptive equipment and materials
• Must complete required fingerprinting for district credentialing

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group music therapy sessions in a campus setting, supporting IEP goals and student achievement
• Develop and maintain music therapy service schedules to align with campus needs and student plans
• Conduct student assessments, participate in the ARD Committee, and recommend appropriate educational placements and goals
• Consult and collaborate with educational staff, administrators, and parents to enhance student outcomes
• Provide ongoing staff development on music therapy practices and goals
• Compile and maintain all required reports, records, and documentation
• Contribute to continual program evaluation and improvement efforts
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth
• Engage in relevant professional development
