Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Standard Educator Certificate with Music EC-12 specialization
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience providing music therapy in educational or pediatric settings, or newly certified professionals with strong clinical training
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to varied caseloads
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver music therapy sessions tailored to individual IEP goals and developmental needs
• Conduct assessments, develop therapy goals, and document student progress
• Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to integrate music therapy into student support plans
• Adapt activities for students with diverse abilities and backgrounds
• Contribute to IEP meetings and provide input on student growth and needs
• Travel to multiple campus sites within the assigned area as needed
• Communicate progress and recommendations clearly with school teams and caregivers
