What you’ll bring:
• Credentials as a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
• Experience or passion for working with children and adolescents diagnosed with developmental disabilities and autism
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting children’s needs
• Adaptable approach, able to tailor interventions to each student’s strengths and challenges
• Professionalism, reliability, and empathy in every session

Key responsibilities:
• Plan and implement engaging, goal-oriented music therapy sessions to support 4-6 students, two sessions each week
• Track progress, maintain thorough documentation, and communicate with teachers and caregivers as needed
• Adapt session activities based on student response, using music to support emotional, social, and cognitive growth
• Contribute to the overall mission of the nonprofit by helping students gain new skills and build confidence
• Foster a positive, supportive environment where students can thrive through music
