Make a meaningful impact as a Music Therapist supporting students in a school setting near Richmond, TX. This contract position runs from July 29, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering the opportunity to work just one day per week. You will work with a small, focused caseload—up to four students per day, serving seven children seen on an every-other-week schedule. Exact campus assignments will be determined prior to the start date.
Qualifications & Experience
- Active National Certification in Music Therapy required
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively with children in a therapeutic or educational environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Completion of background check and drug screening (district-specific fingerprinting required)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and/or small group music therapy sessions for students as prescribed
- Collaborate with other educational and therapy professionals to support student goals
- Document session activities, progress, and outcomes for each student
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families as needed
- Adhere to district policies and uphold all professional standards
