Key Qualifications:

• Active Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential is required
• Experience in school-based or pediatric music therapy highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, and school staff
• Ability to create customized therapy plans for students with varying needs and backgrounds
• Successful completion of a background check (fingerprinting) and drug screening in accordance with district policy

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide music therapy to a small caseload of 7 students, ages and specific needs will be provided
• Deliver sessions every other week, serving 3 to 4 children per visit, on a one day per week schedule
• Adapt and implement evidence-based music interventions to foster social, motor, and academic growth
• Track student progress and document therapy outcomes in accordance with school guidelines
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate music therapy into individualized education programs
