Music Therapist in Richmond, TX

Key Qualifications:

• Active National Certification in Music Therapy required
• Previous experience working with children or in educational settings preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and communicate progress to families and team members
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with all district credentialing, including background checks and drug screening

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide music therapy sessions for a caseload of 7 students, working with approximately 3 to 4 children per session day
• Assess individual student needs, document progress, and tailor interventions to promote emotional regulation, communication, and social skills
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes in accordance with district policies
• Support the holistic development of students in partnership with teachers and special education staff
• Attend scheduled meetings or consultations as needed to discuss student outcomes and therapy adjustments
