Embark on a rewarding opportunity to provide music therapy services to students in an educational setting near Richmond, TX. This contract position is ideal for a certified Music Therapist who thrives in a school-based environment and is passionate about making a positive impact in children's lives. The role begins July 29, 2026, and extends through May 27, 2027, with work scheduled one day per week. You’ll be supporting a small caseload of seven students, working with 3-4 children per day using your creative skills to enhance their well-being through music.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active National Certification as a Music Therapist
  • Ability to obtain and complete fingerprint (background check) and drug screening as required by the district
  • Prior experience working with children or in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, patient, and adaptable approach to therapy

Responsibilities:

  • Provide music therapy services to students based on their individual needs and goals
  • Serve a caseload of 7 students (seen every other week), focusing on direct interventions
  • Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other therapists to optimize student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Participate in meetings and coordinate with other professionals as necessary
