Licensed Music Therapist - Richmond, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• Active national certification as a Music Therapist
• Experience supporting students in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Comfort working with children in small group or one-on-one sessions
• Completion of required fingerprint background check and drug screening, or willingness to obtain
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and staff

Role Overview:

• Provide music therapy services to a caseload of seven students, aged elementary through middle school
• Each week, offer therapeutic sessions to 3-4 children, rotating every other week to reach all assigned students
• Develop individualized and group treatment plans tailored to each child’s educational and developmental goals
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages students’ musical and personal growth
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with school staff as well as families
• Adapt therapy methods and techniques to best support a diverse group of students
