This contract opportunity, based near Richmond, TX, begins July 29, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027. You'll work in a flexible, part-time capacity—just one day a week—delivering specialized services to students who benefit from therapeutic music interventions.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individualized music therapy sessions to a caseload of 7 students, with 3-4 students seen per service day
- Rotate students every other week, targeting specific goals aligned with their educational plans
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create tailored interventions
- Track outcomes and document progress to share with school staff and families
- Support a positive, inclusive environment that fosters growth for students of varying needs and abilities
What We’re Looking For:
- Active National Certification in Music Therapy
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably within educational or pediatric settings
- Ability to work independently, display strong communication skills, and contribute to a collaborative culture
- Flexible to adapt to different campuses as needed (exact locations to be determined)
- Capable of meeting district credentialing requirements, including background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening
- Enthusiastic about using music to positively influence student learning and emotional development
